I'm really fascinated by this...
All convenience stores in Japan have a print machine. Now you can print anime bromides on photo style paper. Some of them are "random". They come in sets, but some of the sets are huge.
The two main ones I have seen are Lawsons and 7-11, but there are also ones for Family Mart. For L-sized bromides, prices range from 200 to 400 yen. I have seen up to 600 yen for larger versions of the pictures.
I think they are really nice, but I don't know that I want to complete any sets. See here for example of a 7-11 Bromide for Conan.
Note that the image itself does not have any kind of number on it.
